the secret garden book review

The story is enthralling, and the beautiful prints, illustration, and artwork through the book are out of the world, making it even more enjoyable reading. | Rating: 3/4 In truth, the Kindle version didn’t appear to have been written by an English-speaking author at all. I used to consider the second half of The Secret Garden inferior to the first. The star rating reflects overall quality. I will buy every single one! The review is thoughtful and has made me pretty nostalgic. We get to see through the eyes of Colin; his doctor, Dr. Craven; the housekeeper, Mrs. Medlock; the groundskeeper, Ben Weatherstaff; everyone’s first literary crush, local boy Dickon; Dickon’s mother, Mrs. Sowerby; and, in the end, Colin’s reclusive father. You can still see all customer reviews for the product. Author: Literarycreature. Other children seemed to belong to their fathers and mothers, but she had never seemed to really be anyone’s little girl. Offbeat, gritty story with heart. This book can be read by anyone over 9, advanced readers at around 7 or 8. You dared! | Rating: 2.5/5 Frances Hodgson Burnett shares some amazing insights into human nature with the reader. People are naturally inclined to hand out the "instant classic" award to the books they like, but there are only a precious few books that can hold on to such a title for over a hundred years, (this was published in book form in 1911), and still stay fresh, engaging and appealing. You never met them in the air or on tree-tops. She's later discovered and sent to live with her uncle at Misselthwaite Manor, where she's rude to the household staff. I hadn’t read The Secret Garden in ages, but when my book club decided to study it for characterization, I was more than pleased to pick it back up again, so to speak.
