is the hole in the ground scary

I would have liked the ending to have been a little more detailed, and not quite so abrupt. Writer and producer Colm Tobin said of it on Twitter, "Saw The Hole In the Ground on Netflix last night — a proper Irish horror with great central performances, beautifully shot with a really atmospheric score. For a while, The Hole in the Ground seems to be cut from the same cloth as The Babadook, wherein we’re meant to wonder if there’s really anything supernatural going on here, or if it’s all the work of a sick mind. Rather, it’s about a young boy who starts to act creepy one day, causing extreme paranoia within his mother. He seems…off. There are even a couple of cheats — movies that take place in Ireland or are about the country, but were made elsewhere.
