We have been fitting Bristan Taps for the past 15 years and we have never had any issue with the taps. I had a problem with an Alterna product, (now taken over by Bristan) Even though the shower was over 4 years old, the helpdesk tried to find parts, and as these were unavailable, replaced the entire unit with a new Bristan shower under the 5 year garantee, free of charge!I certainly shall buy Bristan products if future! The design is sleek and modern, while the Celala surface technology gives the plating layer a beautifully smooth and long lasting surface – perfect for bathrooms that ooze contemporary style. Minimum 0.2 bar of pressure is the requirements, mine is 0.23 bar so all should be fine. The tap is still not working, My recent bad experience of Bristan is the third since Sept 2018. My two year old kitchen tap has been leaking continuously since late August. I don't know what to do now, as nobody at Bristan seems to want to help and they don't reply to e mails or letters. I was told again that none are available. Second, representatives took 3 weeks and then 6 weeks to reply to me, which seems to me to be a long even during April, May, and June 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown. I again called the helpline and after another long wait spoke to another very helpful member of the helpdesk team who informed that both the warranty had been registered and the parts sent out. I had a warranty issue during the Covid lockdown but their customer services have been ineffective and they do not respond to emails for several weeks.The fault could cause major water damage but despite several emails they have failed to comprehend the problem.The lack of support regarding their products is a concern especially when a leak from a new pair of taps could cause damage to a property and to my reputation as a tradesman.As requested in Bristan's reply, the case number isCase ID: 02087447 There were two issues that I wanted to resolve. I needed a replacement cartridge for my quadrato shower unfortunately took 1 month to finally get through to them even sent an email with no response given to be fair this was in mix of covid 19 but when I finally got through to them was very easy and friendly customer service. I found to my surprise, accordingly to Wolsley, that there are 107 different Bristan 3/4 tap valve inserts when trying to locate a replacement part for my dripping bath tap. they are reliable for urgent delivery. It is true that more recently i have been replied to more quickly. No communication after 2 emails due to lockdown understand not taking telephone calls. Unfortunately, after about a year, some of the taps started 'falling off' in an alarming manner that convinced me these taps pose a flood risk to people's homes. It was selected because it was spec'd as being suitable for low pressure (0.2 bar). Imagine being locked down in a house were the toilets dont flush properly. There are numerous parts of the website that didn't work and still don't work last i was on the Bristan website, and other parts that were simply lacking. We had a shower fitted with Wicks 7 years ago and trying to get replacement parts has been a nightmare. More delay, when it came it was also no good. As an engineer myself I started to look at the aerator which has a 5 lpm restrictor in it, which would really restrict the flow of a low pressure system. I had to call customer services twice: the first time I hung on for 32 minutes without my call being dealt with but I accept that these are difficult times. tried to get through on phone stuck in queue. This tap was fitted in the new bathroom in 2018 with a Regency bath/shower mixer which was useless from the start. So the customer service unfortunately wasn't anu help.
